The Basement

The basement…dark, cold, loud and creepy at night. If you go down a couple of steps without turning on the light, it feels like the darkness is going to jump out and grab you. Then when you flip that switch it all goes away. When the lights come on, the basement becomes the liveliest place in the house. All of us are always playing games. We are always around chasing each other until we fall on our backs. All of the furniture is the same color so it looks like one huge couch. When my mom cooks in the basement no body wants to leave. But after the day is over and the lights go back off it goes back to being the same old dark as the night sky room that no one wants to go down to with out the lights on.
