Resources for Parents of GT Children
The National Association for Gifted Children is a good starting point for learning about giftedness in children, and some issues that parents and schools need to be aware of to meet gifted children's needs for differentiation.
Here is a commentary on the "No Child Left Behind" act, decrying its overemphasis on remediation, its minimal goals for proficiency, and its failure to address the growth needs of all children, especially those who may already be scoring "proficient" or better.
