Kim Garcia (ESOL)
Hi! My name is Kim Garcia. I have been a teacher in DPS since 1993.  I was born in Ohio and moved to Denver when I was 10. I feel like a native by now! I met my husband, Javier, in Mexico and we have 2 children, Vincent and Julia. I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a degree in Spanish. I have Master’s Degree in Bilingual/Multicultural Education from the University of Colorado Boulder. When I am not teaching I love to watch my children in their activities, travel and hang out with friends. I love teaching and cannot imagine anything else I would rather do.

Hola! Mi nombre es Kim Garcia. Estoy enseñando en las escuelas DPS desde el año 1993. Nació en Ohio y me vine a Denver cuando tenia 10 años. Me siento como que soy de aqui. Conocí a mi esposo Javier en Mexico y tengo 2 niños, Vincent y Julia. Me recibí de Metro State College of Denver con mi certificado en español, luego obtuve mi maestria en Bilingual/Multicultural en Education en University of Colorado Boulder. Cuando no estoy trabajando me gusta ver a mis niños en sus actividades, también me gusta viajar y estar con mis amigas. Me gusta mucho enseñar y no me puedo imaginar en otra cosa sino en lo que estoy haciendo.
