Jim and Tweety

Jim the Polar Bear and Tweety the Bird
by Jessica, 2nd grade

Once there was a polar bear named Jim. One day Jim was walking out in snow and he met a bird named Tweety.

Jim and Tweety wanted to be friends. So they asked each other, "Do you want to be friends?"

They both said, "Yes, I'd love to." So they walked together by the green trees.

While they were walking, they noticed that it was snowing fast and the stars were sparkling in the sky.

But Jim was getting really cold, so he went home and put a scarf on. The colors were purple and violet red.

When he got his scarf he went outside and saw Tweety. Tweety remembered that it was almost Christmas. So Tweety told Jim that it was only a week until Christmas.

    Jim asked, "What's Christmas?"

Tweety said, "Christmas is when you give presents to your family and friends."

    "Oh," said Jim.

It was the day before Christmas and Jim was out shopping for Christmas presents. Tweety was too.

It was finally Christmas. When Jim woke up he went downstairs and saw Christmas presents. Jim thought the presents were from Tweety.

When Tweety woke up, he saw Christmas presents too. Tweety thought the presents were from Jim.

Jim was wondering what was in the presents, so he opened a present. It was from Tweety, so he went over to Tweety's house and said, "Thank you for the hat!"

    Tweety said, "You're welcome."

When Tweety went over to his Christmas presents, he opened one present that was from Jim and saw a bag of seeds. So Tweety went over to Jim's house and said, "Thank you for the seeds."

Jim said, "You're welcome. I am glad we're friends."
