Heather Macari (1st Grade)
I grew up in Longmont, Colorado and went to college at Bethany College in Kansas.  I received my Masters at the University of Phoenix.  In my 22 years of teaching, I began 7 years with 3rd grade, and the rest have been with 1st grade and I love it.  I have been at Holm since 1989.  I went into teaching because I have always liked working with children.  I love to see their enthusiasm, curiosity, and growth, particularly in the first grade.  They come in excited yet unsure, and are rather dependent on you. They leave as confident learners who have become very independent.
I love to spend time with my family.  I also love to quilt and read.  Historical fiction in one of my favorite genres.

Yo crecí en Longmont, Colorado y estudié en la Universidad de Bethani en Kansas .Recibí mi maestria en la Universidad de Phoenix. En mis 22 años de maestra, mis primeros 7 años  hice clase al tercer grado , y el resto he estado con el primer grado lo cual me gusta mucho. Estoy en la escuela de Holm desde el año 1989. Me decidí ser maestra ya que siempre me han gustado los niños. Me gusta mucho ver el entusiamo, la curiosidad, como crecen, particularmente el primer grado. Ellos dependen mucho de uno y van tomando confianza para poder ser independientes.
