INTRODUCTION

Holm Elementary School is a very special place to get education. Our school offers a lot. There is a huge auditorium that fits over 100 people at a time. We have special classes we go to every day like music, art, P.E., and library. There's an enormous cafeteria, a brand new and exciting playground with a beautiful view of the mountain. We also have curriculum like math, science, social studies, writing, reading, and spelling. If you're looking for an awesome school, Holm Elementary School is the one!

CLASSROOMS

Classes are from E.C.E to fifth grade. In E.C.E you get to do a lot of fun things. Next is kindergarten. You get to learn to write some easy words and have fun. In first grade you start getting homework, math, and a whole lot more. At second grade you get harder math, spelling, and writing. In third grade it gets even harder. You get harder math, writing, science and more. I do not know about fourth grade and fifth grade because I’m in third grade, but soon I'll find out.

SPECIALS

At Holm Elementary School we have specials such as Art, Music, Physical Education, and Library. In art class we have Mrs. Saba who is very special. She can do any thing with art supplies and make it super cool. She teaches us how to draw, paint, and how to create clay sculptures. She is terrific! Mr. Singer is our music teacher. He is funny and loud! He has a Christmas performance for the kids and their families. Mrs. Reggans in gym helps us get rid of the energy that we have. She also helps us get exercise and keeps us healthy. Mrs. Maryann is for the school library. She helps us find the book that we want. She also checks out the two books that we have chosen. We used to have a computer lab but Mrs.Vories quit so we have no more computer lab in the school. I wish the computer lab was still part of the program.

AUDITORIUM

Our school has an enormous auditorium that can seat almost the whole school in it. We have plays and musicals there, and awards are handed out there. On cold, snowy, rainy days when we cannot go out for recess, we go to the auditorium and watch a movie.

CAFETERIA

Holm School has a huge cafeteria. It seats 100 or more people at a time. Each table is round and seats 6 people. Each day some classes go there at a certain time. They serve a variety of foods. Some days they serve excellent pizza. There is a stop light for when it gets too noisy, and when it turns red you have to sit on the curb or on the bench.

PLAYGROUND

The playground is a huge place. They re-built it in the summer. We go there after lunch. It's always a fun place to be. It's also where you could hang out with your friends. (At least I do.) The playground has 7 slides, 10 swings, 4 places for monkey bars, 4 basketball courts, and 3 tetherball courts. I love to play on the rock wall. There's also a spinner and most of the time there's a huge line! So that's why I love our new playground!
