My name is Darya Murad. I have worked as a paraprofessional for 3 years while finishing school and am finally able to fulfill my dream of being an educator. I have worked with all primary grades and have fallen in love with second grade. A recent graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, I attended their Center for Urban Education program.
I was born in Kurdistan and am fluent in Kurdi and understand some Arabic and Farsi. My family and I moved to the states as refugees in 1997 and I have traveled to many countries all over the world since then. I am ready to bring my vast experiences into the classroom to make learning influential and engaging. I am very excited to kick start my life long career at Holm Elementary.
