Hello, my name is Mrs. April Milow. I have been teaching fifth grade here at Holm Elementary School since 1999. My interest in Education started at an early age when I helped my step-father with grading papers and setting up/taking down his classroom each year. I attended VA Tech and earned a degree in Business Management, Business Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Multicultural Education and Diversity. Working at Holm Elementary has allowed me to grow as a person and a teacher.
I am part of a large extended family. Growing up with four siblings (two brothers and two sisters) taught me a lot about relationships. I am married to my husband, Antonio Milow. Together we have a blended family with a total of six children from the age of 26 down to 10 years old. In addition, I am the grandmother of four granddaughters. Family is a big part of my life. We get together often and enjoy good times and food.
